Description
Wild rice is a semi-aquatic grass that grows mostly in North America. Its texture and nutty flavor of its long, black grains make wild rice different from white and brown rice. In the United States, it is one of the most commonly eaten popular grains. And it’s also served as a side dish with meat or in soup. It contains lots of antioxidants and dietary fiber which is beneficial for our bodies.

- Wild Rice 1/3 cup
- Butter ½ cup
- All-purpose flour ½ cup
- Chicken Broth 3 cup
- Cream(Half and Half) 2 Cups
- Dried Rosemary(crushed) ½ cup
- Onion(finely chopped) 1 (medium)
- Carrot(finely chopped) 1 (medium)
- Celery ribs(finely chopped) 1
- Canola oil 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Dried thyme leaves(if desired) ¼ teaspoon
- Toasted almond(if desired) ¼ teaspoon
- Water 1 quart

Instructions
- Step 1: Contain water, rice, and oil in the saucepan. Cover the saucepan with a lid and keep them on low heat and simmer it for 30 minutes.
- Step 2: In another saucepan at first, melt the butter over medium heat then add carrot, onion, and celery in the saucepan and stir it from time to time. Cook it for 3-4 minutes until the vegetable tenders
- Step 3: Mix flour with the vegetables, add pepper, salt, thyme and also and stir it for 1 minute.
- Step 4: Now add the chicken broth and undrained wild rice and boil it for 2 minutes.
- Step 5: When it gets slightly thickened, make the heat low. And stir it with half and half. In this step. you don’t need to boil it. Just simmer it for 20 minutes.
- Step 6: After simmering. spread the almond and serve it on your dining table.
