Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced

- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin

Instructions
Step 1: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2: Add 1 finely chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, around 5 minutes.
Step 3: Add 3 minced garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons of grated ginger. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Stir in 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, 2 tablespoons of garam masala, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1 teaspoon of ground coriander, and 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric. Cook for 1-2 minutes until well combined and fragrant.
Step 5: Pour in 1 cup of tomato puree and 1 cup of heavy cream. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the flavors meld and the sauce thickens.
Step 6: Taste the sauce and season with salt as needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of water to thin it out.
Step 7: Your Tikka Masala Sauce is now ready to serve. Enjoy it over grilled chicken, vegetables, or rice, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
