Ingredients
- Rotisserie chicken
- Old Fashioned Egg Noodles
- Chicken broth or bone broth
- Bay leaf
- Cayenne (optional)
- Olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Carrots Celery
- Onion
- Garlic
- Fresh Parsley
- Fresh Lemon zest and juice
- Turmeric
- Thyme
- Fresh Rosemar
EQUIPMENT
- A large pot or Dutch oven
- A cutting board and knife
- A spoon or ladle
Instructions
- Step 1: Start by heating a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat
- Step 2: Add a few tablespoons of olive oil and the diced onion, carrots, celery, and garlic.
- Step 3: Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
- Step 4: Add the chicken broth, turmeric, thyme, rosemary, parsley, lemon zest and juice, bay leaf, and cayenne (optional).
- Step 5: Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Step 6: Add the chicken and the egg noodles, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Step 7: Taste, and adjust seasoning as desired.
