Notes
- Use Fresh Vegetables: For the best taste and texture, it’s important to use fresh, high-quality vegetables in this recipe. Be sure to wash and chop your veggies just before using them to ensure that they are as fresh as possible.
- Cook the Noodles Al Dente: When cooking the lasagna noodles, it’s important to cook them just until they are al dente. This means that they should still be firm, but not hard. Overcooking the noodles will result in a mushy lasagna.
- Use Low-Fat Cheeses: For a healthier version of this recipe, be sure to use low-fat cheeses. This will help keep the fat content of the dish low, without sacrificing flavor.
- Assemble the Lasagna Carefully: When assembling the lasagna, be sure to spread the cheese mixture and the sauce evenly to ensure that each slice is delicious and well-balanced.
